As the train squeezed to a halt at Altona Station, images of the movie 'Into the Wild' were still swirling in my mind. I had just seen a masterpiece of a movie chronicling the final years of Christopher McCandless.
The wikipedia entry for McCandless goes thus - " Christopher J. McCandless (February 12, 1968 – August 1992) was an American idealist/wanderer who died near Denali National Park after hiking alone into the Alaskan wilderness with little food or equipment. Author Jon Krakauer wrote a book about his life, Into the Wild, published in 1996, which was adapted into a 2007 film directed by Sean Penn, Into the Wild, with Emile Hirsch as McCandless." "I read somewhere... how important it is in life not necessarily to be strong... but to feel strong." this really lifts your spirits up. You automatically tend to get into a body language of deep thought beginning with a deep breath, with the current events in one's life, and how there is a drastic need to have daily contemplations, to take things into perspective, it somehow hits you hard and you feel like a battle-hardened soldier.
Following is a list of quotes by Christopher Mc Candless aka Alexander Supertramp
"The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences."
"If we admit that human life can be ruled by reason, then all possibility of life is destroyed."
"Some people feel like they don't deserve love. They walk away quietly into empty spaces, trying to close the gaps of the past."

Clearly this movie has won me over and makes an entry into best's list and gives me a fresh perspective.
